Getting Back on Track.

SAT, 090131 @ 1:00PM
Even though my intentions for this blog is for your eyes only, I can't help to wander off and hope for more. The ultimate love for a child stolen away from him because she is, in reality, an animal. The beauty of this blog is that it proves how much I love Zachary Ryan Chun. In all the photos and videos, I showered you with all the love I had. If you can truly believe how much I love you and how wrong our situation is, you'll pain them deeper than anything else. You don't avoid shit because you're afraid of it. You walk around it because it's dirty. I won't have to speak ill of anyone to have my points be made. Just enjoy our memories as much as I have.

My Coke Rewards

FRI, 090130 @ 10:48PM
A post doesn't seem complete without a photo. CYA!
FRI, 090130 @ 10:49PM

FRI, 090130 @ 9:44PM
Hello son. 'Why so serious?' has been a popular name used by gamers these days. It is a whimsical, rebutting statement directed at those players who take gaming to the extreme. To those who are easily inflamed by anything. That's kinda the mood I'm in now. Ursula paid me a visit, so the mood of the blog right now, is a pretty burdensome load on my shoulders. Let me instead, share a pretty funny story in the making. Last year, the Coca Cola Company, based in Atlanta, Georgia, began an advertising run entitled 'My Coke Rewards'. Coke products were imprinted with codes that you typed in online to receive reward points. If you buy a 12 pk, you would get 10 points. I drink their products when the choice is mine, so I started stacking up points. I had about 50 points at the time. All of a sudden, with little warning, all of my accumulated points EXPIRED! What?!? Yes, I lost them all. I cursed them for doing that and swore I would never participate in their foolishness. A couple of weeks ago, I had difficulties disposing of my third or fourth Coke 'lid'. The piece of the packaging that is removed to dispense the drinks, has the code imprinted on them. Being the Survey champ that I believe myself to be, I gave them a second chance and began accumulating points. In browsing for how to spend my points, I noticed a very attractive product. The ESPN Homezone Viewing Room. It is currently their biggest prize for any sweepstakes. A $6,000 gift card to Best Buy along with a $2,000 card for some dumb sports chair maker. Three reward points for one entry. I didn't see anything that I remotely desired for my 'price range'. Nothing even remotely close. So, I jumped over to the sweepstakes and I am officially a playa, playa. This is SuperBowl Sunday weekend. The Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Arizona Cardinals. To celebrate, the Von's market, along with Pavilion's, both subsidiaries of the Safeway Co., printed up coupons for 4, 12-pks. for only $7.99. Wow, that is pretty cheap. Two bucks a 12-pk is cheap. I went to a Vons in the morning, entered my 40 points, or 13 entries, and then to a Pavilions for another 13. Sure I was in the groove and dodging tackles good, but man, oh man. That's a shitload of Cokes, SA. The next step brings me to this funny twist. I have entered this sweepstakes more or less, 50 times. They should have the decency to send you email confirmations, but brother's in Atlanta don't chills like that. My second line of thought dealt with potential contestants. 3 points for one entry is pretty steep. I wondered about the total number of entries. Oh, this sweepstakes only runs from 090101 through 090208. Today is the 30th of January, so I have 7 days of mailings left. The one hitch is that no one may enter more than 50 times in a day. Ahh, and one of this nation's beauties is the 'no purchase necessary' clause. Sweepstakes are always open to all, free of charge, always. So, the fine print for this sweepstakes has me writing like mad. On a 3x5 index card, I have my name, address, phone#, email, age and name of sweeps. Damn, I'm gonna count it. BRB. 101 characters. Couldn't count the spaces like I would for typewritten test. Hmm, I think that was my very FIRST text count?!?! Anyways, I printed out 100 envelopes and managed to get only 10 cards handwritten. Tomorrow, I will pay a visit to the post office and see what the cheapest cost will be with postage. That is going to determine my full dedication to this project. 7 Days, 50 entries per day, 350 entries. At 42 cents, that would come out to $147. Damn, I have to. Look. I have 50. I've purchased to mail in a 100 more. Total is 150. With 150,000 entries, my odds will be 1 in 1,000. Let's say I did 200, an additional 42 dollars, now upto $84. With 150,000 entries, my odds betters to 1 in 600. If I do the maximum allowed, 350, more, my odds will improve to...1 in 375. Wow. What to do?!?
Hey there. I went to sweep the patio. I've decided. 350 more entries it is. Tonight, I have 10 down. 40 to go. I can do this. I'll provide for you the daily play by play on this one and post the results, when available. I can do this! Bye, Zachary Ryan Chun. I love you.

Oops, I did it again.

FRI, 090130 @ 3:37AM
Good morning Zachary Ryan Chun. I think this is the longest I've gone, so far, without a posting. Sorry, I did it again. Lemmie give you an update on the photos. Overlooking the last post, because it was a set I found that I haven't posted yet, we're back on track if I post...
041031, Halloween Videos
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FTR4DIIV
The entire set consists of videos on your big night. I haven't reviewed any of them for me to comment on, so I won't, cuz I can't. Oh, the added image above was a loose photo that's been hanging around cuz it is one I like very much. I loved drowning you in love and affection and watching you react to my over-doing. You're not that evasive above. Oh, but you'll soon find out how much I eventually get to you... I've finally decided to sort and organize my entire, My Photos collection. It's spread out flat, amongst close to 40 DVD's, as much as 10 copies, as few as one. I purchased a Seagate external USB HDD. In today's pre-inflationary, uncertain times, $80 is a good price for a 250 GB. Now I have this, a 150 Maxtor and a 320 Buffalo. Seagate wins for design, the Buffalo for cord storage, and Seagate again for design. It's made so slick, I had to give it up twice. I bought the Buffalo about a month ago for the same price. The Seagate is 70 GB less storage, same price, and half the size. The USB connections aren't correct on my computer right now. One of them isn't transferring at USB 2.0 speeds for some reason, so I'm not playing WC. I don't see the need to continue using my HDD sleves. These USB externals are much more compatible with other CPUs and laptops. I love technology. You're going to have to as well. I shall bore you to death for hundreds of hours, until you realize it would be easier to join them, rather than fight them. Anyways, I suppose I should continue on with my closures. We're back on track with the photo postings so let me finish up my stories from the last post. Ahh, yes. Ttak Chee. I remember spending a lot of time with that silly game. Half the game was about competition and dominance. Man places a lot of importance and need on competition. We have to be able to sustain a certain level of competition for everything we do. It is a necessary requirement for everything in life. As a youth, you don't really segregate this instinctive need for competition, but it does play a role. Oh, and I forgot to mention that along with this competition is the desire to win. Maybe I should rename it, successful competition. It is our need to win, I suppose. Yes. The need for successful competition. This will become much more transparent during your education. Hmm, I would like to somehow devise a systematic gameplan that we can adhere to as we trek on through life. Elaborate on these very important aspects of life that I've personally witnessed and devised. Very interesting. Yes. Make it so. I will call it TopChun's Life Plan. The set of instructions on how you can manage yourself and react to the events that will shape your life. This could sound like another attempt to squeeze out of an obligation, but it is not, Dear Boy. I need rest and peace in order to properly mold my secret weapon. Until next time.

Zachary Ryan Chun always kissed the cup of coke.

TUE, 090127 @ 3:23PM
Hello, son. I was eager to post this because of the meaningful photo above. Top five, I'll guess. Every time you drank something sweet, well anytime we gave you coke, you would raise it up and kiss it on the side of the cup. It was so naturally meaningful and repetitive. Without fail, you always performed your little ritual. I would guess that I've seen you kiss your cup between 30-40 times. I think this is the only photo I have of this very meaningful routine. There was a folder on my Picasa with the blogger logo that seems to have a copy of every image I have posted thus far. Anyways, I've set it to public so you'll be able to retrieve an album of these very meaningful pictures. When looked over as an album of photos, it is a very strong, valuable group of memories and events. Two points for me, yae! Oh, and you can set the time of the post to occur sometime in the future. This is Wednesday's post but it's only Tuesday afternoon. Oops. I blab alot, huh? I just remembered that I promised you something different today. Hmmm, I haven't given it any thought, but I'll sacrifice like a good hour to come up with something soon. Laters for now, son.
TUE, 090127 @ 3:36PM

TUE, 090127 @ 9:30PM
Hiya Zachary Ryan Chun. I couldn't think of anything, really that would seem eventful enough for you to get excited over. I decided to tell you about my days and recollections from Korea before I immigrated. I have very few, clear memories that make any sense. Just flashes of events that has somehow remained with me so far. Here goes...I spent a lot of time doing three things that occupy a lot of my memories. One is, I use to make a chopstick-rubberband fly killer/catcher. A trigger released the loaded gun and hit its target like 85% of the time. I made many guns and dove into this mission very passionately. Once, I had a full plastic bag filled with flies. How or why I caught so many is news to me. Another time killer was making and playing ttak chee. You would take any paper and fold it into a square. Next, you battled with other peoples ttak chee by trying to flip them over by slamming your soldiers down. I had quite a collection because it is always dutiful to win at all cost, no matter what. Then there was...BRB, gotta shoot up a dose of WC.
Back. Ouch, a partner drops and I'm left with a noob. It still hurts. I realized that I'm writing Wednesdays post, so in reality, I have close to 25 hours left. He he he. I like being on the early side because it gives me that cushion in case something happens. I was kinda in a writing mood earlier but not so much anymore, so I'm gonna take, uh, a leave of absence. CYA!

Back to the Future!

TUE, 090127 @ 8:38PM
Hiya Zachary Ryan Chun. One down, four to go. Happy 2nd day of the Week, or...Happy Tuesday! Yae! I was organizing a bunch of your photos last night and realized that this set was overlooked! I wasn't sad about missing these photos and knocking things about chronologically. They are so good and special, I was pleasantly surprised and very glad. Here are the folders:
040201, FIRST time @ a beach!
040502, Zach wants to drive
040507, Zach in the car with Clear Buzz
040508, Me and Zach in the Garage
040512, Kissing a cup after drinking it
The fourth set are the photos I took along with that great photo of you on the ladder. The last folder is special, too, because you use to kiss your cups after you took a sip for some reason. Very strange, but very cute as well. I'll play by play the photos that require an explanation.
PICT0876 - This is the very first time you were at the beach. You're still strapped in the car at Torrance beach. You weren't all that thrilled at the new and different environment. In fact, you really didn't take notice of the never ending sea.
PICT0878 - This is the official FIRST photo. Again, you aren't all that intrigued by any of this.
PICT0880 - This was a shot I took of you when we finally made it to the sand. Again, this was more eventful for me than it was for you.
PICT0885 - This is the picture above. We ended up at this Korean seafood joint on the Redondo Beach pier. You were enjoying your cone so much, you didn't even bother with the seagull that just hung around and stared. Classic pic. Top ten for sure.
PICT0886 - I pretty much pulled a lick every chance I could. Uh, I was trying to teach you the importance of sharing. Yeah, that's it. You never, ever offered me a lick or a bite or a sip at anything, ever.
PICT0887 - LOL. I love my Zachary.
PICT1080 - LOL. I just realized that in this picture of you, you're wearing my shoes. We were waiting around to go to church in front of the Stevenson Ranch home. That's how come you're all dressed up and looking mighty spiffy. You're very handsome in this photo.
PICT1091 - This is probably your very first photo behind the wheel of a car.
PICT1093 - LOL. This is almost identical to the photo I posted yesterday. I told you this was a very, very common occurrence. It happened every time. The funny thing is, I saved the photos you took and there are a few in this folder of photos you took. Precious.
PICT1094 - PICT1114 - How funny. It's obvious that you took these photos because you're face is splattered all over the photos with the flash bouncing off of you. And so begins, your deep passion for a hobby you can share with your dad.
PICT1215-PICT1219 - You and I spent the day together outside that day. I just bought you a Buzz Lightyear sprinkler flying thinga-ma-jig that never really worked. You're grabbing on to that rod because you know its suppose to fly, but it didn't. LOL look at how I have a shot of you with your mouth wide open after every shot, like you were yelling your complaints.
PICT1221 - This shot came very close to being the shot that proved your FIRST ladder. And you're holding Buzz so well, too. It didn't show the intensity of the situation because I took too much of a close up.
PICT1222 - PICT1223 - Look! You're pointing down at something in these shots, too. I think you were just trying to tell me how high up you were. I've racked my mind trying to figure this one out, but no luck.
PICT1224 - PICT1235 - These are your photographer-in-training photos. I'm very glad I saved them because it shows your progression.
Wow, can you believe it? How terrible of me to have totally forgot about these pics and excluded them from this blog. Oh, the mere thought sends chills up my spine. I will double up my efforts and make sure nothing like this will ever happen. I rearranged the folders that I've organized into sets, zipped, and uploaded. Currently, there are 108 folders. I'm gonna guess that I have 30 more scattered about. I'm working on it, so be patient. I want to reiterate something. As much as I love you and want you to look through these photos, just as equally, I need you to keep them to yourself only. Of course you can show Rachel Lauren Chun because she is just as precious and important to me, but beyond that, no one else. I had to rethink the encryption password because I don't want your mother to look at any of these photos. It was one of the many losses she incurred when she filed. Promise me, Zach. Your mother will never see these photos. Richard can see them, if he can look over the desk and chair. Or if you sit him on your lap. Anyways, son, have a good rest of the week and I eagerly wait until the next posting. Lemmie try something new tomorrow. I don't know what it is yet, but I'm not afraid to figure it out. I'm going to have to 'save as draft' and publish a minute after midnight. TTYT!
TUE, 090126 @ 9:22PM

TUE, 090126 @ 9:38PM
Hello again Zachary Ryan Chun. I heard something on the radio today and I wanted to share it with you. You're probably way too young to realize anything about the condition of the world economy and the financial crises' that have been causing so many people, so much pain lately. This is, more than likely, very improper to be speaking with you about right now, but it was so important to me that I wanted to make sure it was recorded somehow. Anyways, I was listening to I believe Al Rantel on AM790. I probably have that way wrong. He was dissecting House Speaker Pelosi's recent interview with Stephanopolis and brutally smacking down any of her points and strategies. It wasn't hard because she was having a hard time making any sense. During this rambling on about our economy and the lack of action in play, he mentioned a very simple concept. Lower Taxes. California is looking at a 42 Billion dollar deficit next year and it is estimated that our national deficit will reach one trillion dollars this year alone. With government in such dire straights for money, is lowering taxes, even imaginable?!? You have to look back on Economics 101 for your answer. Communism doesn't work because man, by nature, inately, is lazy. I'll post something later that explains that stament. For our purpose here, pretend it to be true. The opposite to that is capitalism and democracy. It is the form of government that has allowed our young nation to grow higher and faster than any other civilization to date. In the core center of this belief is the absolute confidence and belief in the free market. Competition drives our economy and is the basis for all ventures and investments. That being said, with the economy in the bad shape that it's in, one of two things can happen. One is to raise taxes to cover these historic losses being incurred from bailing out major industries. The financial market, including brokerage houses as well as banks, and the domestic auto industry are two industries that have seen billion dollars worth of aide in the last few months. GM is having such a hard time, they are seeking even more, additional aide. The flip side to this 'fix' is to simply close our eyes and revert back to the theoretical concepts that has made us as successful as we have been. Even though government needs money, believe in who we are and lower taxes to drive up new ventures and investments. A large corporation who has been planning some huge venture, may finally decide to go forward with their plans, if there are tax breaks or other incentive. Entice the market to invest in the market by providing epic cuts in taxes. Wow. When I heard that point being made for the very first time, a light bulb clicked on. Yeah, I said. I am in total agreement with this strategy. Obama is asking for 850 billion dollars for another bailout plan. Instead, give that amount in the form of tax breaks and let the market work itself out. I believe this to be the solution because the situation is so bad that something drastic needs to be done. Do it! TTYT!

Lemmie have the Camera, DAD!

MON, 090126 @ 4:20PM
Good Morning, Zachary Ryan Chun. And hello there Rachel Lauren Chun. How are you both at the start of another fine week. I hope you both had loads and loads of fun this weekend. I know school can be a drag at times, but that's what kids do. Go to school. You just have to learn how to control your perceptions about everything. Let's just say that your school teacher gave you five, long assignments over a holiday weekend. You have parties to go to, shopping to do, and bakugan battles to fight. Oh no! Rather than being mad about your unfair teacher, just be glad that she didn't give you ten assignments. That way, you won't waste time thinking about all of the terrible reasons why she's so unfair and before you know it, you'll be done! It takes a lot of effort to be mad and hateful. It's not worth it 99% of the time. Be cool. Stay in school. Ha ha. Anyways, I picked the picture above because it is one of the many, many times that you reached up to me to grab at my camera. Look at how happy you are. I was just as happy. The folder names for this set are:
041006, Went to Robinson's may for 2nd & 3rd pairs of Spiderman Shoes
041022 Lemmie have the camera
041031 Halloween 2004
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UZZ2GWC4
Hi Zachary Ryan Chun. This posting's been lingering on all day because I have these photo sets I can post with. I didn't fill in the time when I started it, but that was a mistake. Even though I'll wait to post in the future, I shouldn't mess with the time stamp of the posting. I forgot when I started this posting, so I just filled it in with my favorite time of day. I'm like 28 minutes away from midnight when all will be cleared for takeoff. Lemmie go back to the 041031 folder. This was your first trick-or-treat, so a play by play is in order. Here goes...
PICT0475-0476 - Rachel was only 3 months old, so she's still tripping off of her walker with the Looney Tune guys.
PICT0480 - Another fine example of 'give me the camera!' The more you asked for it, the harder it was to take your picture. Here, I pulled away and took our photo, hence the poor crop. Look how you still have a Thomas train in both hands. Hard to let go, eh son?
PICT0481 - Your moms called you over to put on your Spidey gloves for our very first trick-or-treat. The anticipation was overwhelming more for me than for you because you had no idea what was in store for you.
PICT0482 - Here you are putting on your Spidey gloves. LOL, look at the Thomas trains. You had to put them in order when you put it down. I think you get that from me.
PICT048 - It's Spiderman! Yae! Look, your reaching out. Either you want the camera, or you're trying to swing into action.
PICT0485 - It took all your effort to make your hands do like Spidey. This is a precious moment. You not only look like Spiderman, but you were acting out like him too. I cried and smiled all night watching you. I'm tearing now from the joyous event.
PICT1987 - You're looking down to see if you can swing into action!
PICT1988 - Spiderman in action. LOL, you're so special.
PICT1989 - PICT1997 - I think I was more excited over taking your picture than actually trick-or-treating. You were only two BTW.
PICT1998 - We came back pretty early because the houses were so damn far apart. Instead of a bag full of candy, I gave you this apple. Sorry Zachary Ryan Chun.
PICT1999 - LOL, you're chomping away at that apple like crazy. Look, you're picking at your teeth but you can't let go of your Spiderman. Too cute.
PICT2000 - Still chomping away at the apple with the Spidey in your hands.
PICT2001 - PICT2002 - Rachel Lauren Chun loved dozing away in her swing. I was having too much fun with you with everything that I actually forgot I have a daughter too.
PICT2004 - PICT2011 - Back in your messy playroom. I treasure every night that we spent together there because you were always so much fun. I miss you Zach.
Well, there's the play by play of your very first trick-or-treat. I'm sure you don't remember that night, so I hope these pictures can help you realize what a fun time it was. Another thing I want you to realize is how much I care for and love you Zachary Ryan Chun. I consider myself an exceptional dad because I love you guys so much that I snapped and snapped all of these great photos. Why would I do so if I didn't love you guys? All of my love and energies went to helping the both of you learn and grow better and wiser. Things are way different now simply because your mother and her family are animals. Sorry to have to tell you the truth. I hope that you guys can realize the truth for yourselves simply by reading this blog and looking at the photos that tells the truth. Oh, there's the bell striking midnight. I can publish in peace now. Have a great week and TTYT!

Thomas can't stop the Spiderman...

SUN, 090125 @ 12:03PM
Hello again, Zachary Ryan Chun. You know, it's funny how Rachel Lauren Chun has a better search result than you even though I haven't posted anything to her blog. Oh, darn, I forgot about the image thingy. BRB.
Your second Halloween and here you are ready to swing into action! You loved everything Thomas for a very long time, but when Spiderman hit theatres...Game Over! You phased into your spiderman phase pretty quickly and left poor Thomas all alone, in the rain...Here's today's list of folders.
040825 Graduation
040913 FIRST Car Wash & FIRST Wallet
040914 Spiderman Pinata on Western!
040915 ZRC going into Antioch
040922 Trying on his Spiderman Costume
040925 Lemmie have the Camera
040927 A Movie and a Coke
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0LTYFU8X
I managed to upload a series of sets last night. Turns out you can que a whole mess of files to be uploaded when convenient. I wake up and...BAM! I've got like five more sets I could be posting, but you'll just have to wait. The graduation folder contains pics of the kids leaving Antioch. I managed to snap some shots of you during your presentation. It's a very humorous set because you didn't quite go with the flow of the show. You're on your stomach, you have your head tilted way over to the side, and you're swinging your arms about. I had a regular camera that day for some reason, so I don't have a video clip. I'm sure I filmed it, but that's only available for us to watch off of my mini DV's. Have I mentioned I have 20 or so? To capture that and put on disk would take way too long. The quality loss is pretty bad, too, if you want it at a manageable size.
Remind me to show it to you sometime. I get sad every time I go through a set of photos because I just can't figure out why. It's the evil Bae blood, I tell you. All but one of those animals are all divorced, more than once, and even in their dying days, they still think they can remarry and do better. Damn dogs. Ttong Gae duhr. How's the 'C', Esther? Ouch, I bet. Hang in there, you're not gonna last long. Bye.

Friday Night is Dinner Night once again!

SAT, 090124 @ 9:58PM
Hello Zachary Ryan Chun. When I was a kid, my dad reserved Friday Nights for Dinner Night. Every Friday night, he would take out moms, me and my sister out to any restaurant. I remember I use to look forward to it and its become somewhat traditional in my family. Last Friday, your aunt bought everyone dinner for my birthday. Well that night, we decided to meet again this weekend for Dinner Night! I wanted to go to Olive Garden, but the wait was one hour! Koreans don't believe in waiting for din-din, so we went back to Coco's. We all had a good time like the old days. Oh, darn, I forgot to add image. Give me a sec...
LOL, this is one of my favorite pictures. This was Rachel's first day at home and you started reacting to her. You weren't very responsive towards her at the hospital so we worried a bit, but when she got home, you started realizing more and more what was happening. Look at your eyes in the picture above. Precious. You had to grab both of your 'fart guys' to make sure they didn't somehow make it over to Rachel. I love this picture. The other folders in this set are:
040704, FIRST day @ home with Rachel
040705, Second day @ home with Rachel
040716, FIRST blackout, blew out our only candle
There are two FIRSTs in this set. The second is FIRST was a blackout in Saugus. It was an eventful night because you had so much fun with the only candle we had. The pictures tell a good tale of how much fun we had that night. Anyways, enjoy these as much as I know you are enjoying all the others. Have a nice rest of the weekend Zachary Ryan Chun. Muah!

The Numbers aren't adding up?

FRI, 090123 @ 11:40AM
Hmm. My dashboard says that I have 24 posts, the blog says 22, and this should be the 23rd for the 23rd. Lemmie publish this to see and edit my 'official' posting later...BRB
Back. The blog is finally correct, meaning the number of posts equals the number of days in 2009. The dashboard still says 25, so it's not perfect yet... I think there must be 2 postings I haven't published yet. Hmm. TTYL!
FRI, 090123 @ 11:44AM

FRI, 090123 @ 1:13PM
Google Update: Zachary Ryan Chun is 1-4 of 10 on page 1, and Rachel Lauren Chun is 1-2-5-6-7. Getting better and better...
FRI, 090123 @ 1:14PM

FRI, 090123 @ 6:21PM
Google Update: Rachel Lauren Chun is now: 1-2-3-4-7. Hmm, there wasn't any real changes made improve her ranking, but SEO's are delayed by days. It's never a snapshot at the time of the search, but rather, the culmination and gradual of growth of whatever formulas they are using. Anyways. Hi Zachary Ryan Chun! I'm focused only on the first page of google results when searching your full names, so I'll revert back to your full name, shout out, every time I say Zachary Ryan Chun. It's Friday! Yae! Fridays are favored 3-1 when people are asked to choose their favorite day of the week, because it means work is over and playtime begins. I have lived enough to tell you this sincerely with the maximum focus of all of my wisdom, Zach. Do not work on Saturdays no matter what. That is a small business' biggest sacrifice. Saturday, when looked upon in sum, rather than as a single event during a week, will have a deeper meaning. The simple explanation is this. It may not be much to say "I have to work Saturdays because my business must open on the day I am busiest." Would you work a job earning $50,000 for 5 days, or simply work, for 6 days, for $100,000. I'm using these numbers very purposefully. Would you work Saturdays, if you could double your income, and all other things being equal? It's really, really tough for me not to simply answer, "OF COURSE!" because I can now see the summation of all the Saturdays during the course of one's life. To explain the reason's would diminish my entire, solid decision. Trust the old man by the river on this one. Live your Saturdays, son. Yesterday, I had the thought that I am so deeply embedded into this blog, that I could get more personal with you. I wonder how many people will ever read these exact words, right here, right in front of you, the one's you are currently reading... I can rest well knowing that only you ever found the time to read my book. LOL, it's become bigger than just a blog. This has now become an autobiographical, non-fiction, potentially printable, wish-come-true fairytale. I'm alone at this right now Zachary Ryan Chun. I have told of this blog to your aunt, your uncle, and a dude named Brent. Three others know of this blog, but I don't think they've spared the time to investigate my efforts. I think that the longer I go, the more words I type, the more days I have to wait, the longer I trudge on alone...all of these factors will be of greater value when we do meet. I am going to persist with this forever, Zachary Ryan Chun. I estimate another 3 months of posting just to get your photos online. You know I won't be able to post the link with every posting, so it'll be a good 4-5 months of good writing. Allow me to share a quick little story. Your grandfather, my father, was very bad with an important aspect of parenting. He was a child during the Korean War, so he was forced to leave his past, in his past. My father never really told me his stories. I liked hearing about any, and all of the variations caused by time, culture, and economy. I was well into my 30's when he finally told me of his recollection of my accident. This is how it goes...
May 5 is Children's Day in Korea. Back in 1975, when I was 4 years old, a terrible accident occurred. (TIME OUT: This blog will exist forever and you will read every last word. This being true, I shant not speak down to you as I speak to you now, because you are young. Rather, I should speak in an adult tone! Hmm, another good decision made. Tap-tap-tap. BRB, Patio) Back.
To celebrate the important holiday, five jets flew low and in an arrow-like formation. Back then, TV was very unavailable to Korean Citizens. For two hours, beginning at 6PM, news was broadcast for all viewers. Nothing more. No sitcoms, commercials, or the like. Wow, knowing now, the history of broadcasting here in the states, and being able to compare the two because I clearly remember the availability of it in Korea back then...Excuse me, I've tangentized (oooh. First time I used it like that and we'll try to make it a word, okay?). Back to the story. The jets flew over above and a building was blocking my view. I chased after the jets and from there on, I have faint memories for about a month. What had happened was that a delivery truck ran over my left leg and almost shredded it off. You'll have to ask me to show you the scars again so that you can imagine the horror of the event in its entirety. Only a few years ago, your grandpa finally told me his side of that story. Ambulances didn't exist in Korea at the time. No one came to your aid in cases of emergencies because no one was available. My father, wrapped up my bloddy leg carried me over to the nearest hospital. After examining this frail little four year old boy, the doctor told my father that he would have to cut open my head to rule out any damage to my brain. CAT scans didn't even exist, let alone be available. My father defiantly refused the doctors recommendation. "No, you can't cut open my son's head." He carried me off to the next closest hospital, about 2 miles away, again with his limp, dying and bleeding son in his arms. Fortunately, the second doctor agreed with my father to leave my head alone and proceeded with my obvious injuries. I broke my femur and lost most of the skin below the knee. After four major surgeries, I was challenged to recover and so I did. For some reason, my clearest memory comes from a moment when a nurse was cajoling me to take some medicine. I pretended to hate whatever I was given because they were all easily bendable. I think I was at that cute age where no lady can resist. Do as I say, or else! She offerred me 1,000 won, which was like a $20 back then, if I ate this medicine. I did so I got the dough. But isn't that cool about my dad carrying me?!? You can totally imagine the event as it unfolded. The desperation of hope. That reminds me. I wrote about 3 full screenplays. Don't forget I have this to offer if you put something up as well. Anyways, that's my car accident story. Damn, what do you call that line that lets you move into a different subject...Newspeople do it a lot...Damn! Anyways. I hope you liked that one. Maybe I shouldn't speak so directly to you because it keeps out others....Hmmm. Anyways, I hope you had a good week and plz, plz enjoy your weekend. Muah!

Ha-ha! The two attempts that I thought I lost in yesterday's final post, were the culprits behind my numeric dilemma. NOW, finally, everything lines up. 23 Posts on Dashboard, 23 in parenthesis next the the month, and today is 090123. Ya-hoo! Have a nice weekend, son.

Oh the agony, again!

TH, 090122 @ 11:03PM
Damn, this is my third attempt of this third posting today. I'm frustrated because the second attempt had all of the good spices to be a thumbs up contestant. Kudos goes to the photo judge and contestants, so we will reflect with that first today. What a great picture, eh? Everyone should have enough sense to capture moments like this, an early gathering, of family members. In the photo are Alec, Thomas, and Zachary Chun. I had to choose among eight or so photos, so when I saw Alec telling me this is the one, I added it. Also, all photos should have the date stamp, always. No butts, period. Date stamp. We went over to your aunt's home, so we took a time out and took these photos. Oh, is that a play by play, I hear? Oh, sorry, I went through the first long set and a play by play wasn't in order...
PICT1410 - This is the picture that sum's up your love of Thomas and Percy when you were young. I remember your love well, Zachary Chun. There was absolutely nothing at all the matter of you fiending Thomas 24-7. I pretty much bought you everything I could and you managed to satisfy your desires well. There is not one bit of anything wrong with Thomas. The quality of the photos was pushed way up, so the large file will only have about 20 photos in total. Noobed it big time. Damn, 9 minutes to go with the set link. OH YEAH, I CHANGED THE PASSWORD TONIGHT. I REPEAT, THE PASSWORD WAS CHANGD TONIGHT. BRB, gonna go sweep the patio...
Two seconds before the link was available, I switched over.
The folder names are:
040613, A day with Thomas and Alec
040614, Playing with Thomas and Percy
I just realized how much of a permanant archive this blog will be towards my photos. I noticed one file in the first folder, PICT1385, is corrupt. I will hunt it down. There are 26 photos in the first and only 3 in the second. This posting was so meaningful because the photo on the post is so precious. Today's posting deserves a solid A. Hmm, I'll start self grading from here on out. My constant aim is to entertain. Anyways, I shall publish you now, in order to beat the rush hour traffic, when this carriage returns to itself, a pumpkin. Ding...ding...bye...ding.

Oh the agony!

TH, 090122 @ 10:07PM
I literally spent a good two hours, trying to change the order of my postings. First one, first. I have failed. But, when I realized that to the only person in the audience I care for, the order wouldn't matter, I started this post. I guess that'll be my excuse for not having had the time for the sorting and posting a group of photos. I improved on my blog, by deciding to correct the number of postings to the number of days passed in the year of 2009. Today is the 22nd but this will only be my 20th posting. I made an oops yesterday and the light bulb turned on. So, I'm going to post two seperate..., OMG, I can post three times tonight. Tommorow is the 23rd, and I'll have to write posts 20-21-22, for posting 23 tomorrow. Viola! Lemmie rush over to post numero veinte y uno!

It's Wednesday!

WED, 090121 @ 8:08PM
Hiya Zachary Chun! You're still number 1-4, and surprisingly, Rachel Lauren Chun is search result 1-3. It's getting better and better every day. Oh, why am I so excited that it's a Wednesday? Cuz we're half way through the week! Always be optimistic and positive. The glass is always, always half full, Zachary Chun. Wish and hope for the best in all things because when things do go right, you'll appreciate your situations that much more. Trust me on this one and even though it's hard, always try to be positive. I didn't add a photo to this posting because there wasn't anything good. There were only 12 pictures, but there are 3 videos. And one of them is hella long. I haven't watched it and I don't think I will because the folder:
040425 Kat's 29th Birthday
is a stupid folder. My biggest mistake and only regret in life? Take a wild guess son. Anyways, the link for this stupid set is:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F6G6CRJB
LOL, here I am posting stupid folders just for your sake. I forgot to tell you. You have to promise me that you will never share any of these photos and videos with your mother. That is my one and only condition. She is an animal that won't even want to see them anyways. NVM. Anyways son, I'll talk with you again tomorrow and I promise to be in a better mood.

Zachary Ryan Chun's FIRST Disneyland!

TUE, 090120 @ 10:31PM

Hello there Zachary Chun. You are now officially search results 1-4 when googling 'Zachary Ryan Chun'! Yae! My goal is for you to take over page one. Wouldn't that be swell. Oh, in case I forget,
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5S3J4MO4
This is the link for the set described in yesterday's posting. Today's is uploading as we speak, so I'll copy paste it when its done. While we wait, allow me to babble on about our very FIRST trip to Disneyland. You were two, on 040417. It rained that day but it didn't take away from our fun. Let me do the play by play of the entire set because it was such a special day. Just two years old and already at Disneyland. I think I was more excited than you were. You were more curious and cautious that day.
PICT0972 - This is the official FIRST photo I snapped right after I strapped you into your stroller at the Disneyland parking lot. You were in for a treat that day. Well, at least I was.
PICT0973 - Everybody has to snap a picture in front on their very first visit. From the look on your face, you're not too excited because of the foul weather and you didn't know what was in store.
PICT0974 - You were old enough to walk, so you pushed your own stroller down Main street.
PICT0977 - Hang a right from Main street and off you go into Tomorrowland. Yae! I love putting you on my shoulders so we had to take this photo because Tomorrowland is my favorite. Yours too, but you don't know it yet.
PICT0980 - I think we spent more time at the Buzz display at the Tomorrowland store than anywhere else that day. You couldn't put down that Buzz no matter what.
PICT0981 - See, there you go again, and again, and again. I laugh now thinking back to that moment because I was so desperately trying to pulll you away. What can I say? Zachary Chun loves Buzz Lightyear!
PICT0982 - You have both Buzz's in you hand but you are shopping for more. WHY!?!?
PICT0983 - PICT0987 - Look at where your eyes are at every picture. I was so very excited that we were going to see a real life Buzz at his show, but you couldn't take your eyes off of the Buzz's I bought you. When you like something, you really like something.
PICT0988 - PICT0997 - These are the shots of you at "It's a Small World". I don't think you were impressed at all. I can tell from your expressions that you weren't at all interested at the dolls or the songs. I guess that's a good thing son. Yeah, son's should never like that dumb ride.
PICT0998 - Back at the Buzz Lightyear show. You wonder off looking for Buzz...
PICT0999 - Finally a smile! Your FIRST smile at Disneyland! Yae!
PICT1001 - We were waiting in line to take a picture with Buzz, but you were scared cuz he was so damn big.
PICT1002 - Finally! A picture with Buzz! But you were scared....
PICT1003 - Look closely at this picture. You clonked from all of the excitement. But wait! Look who your clenching onto for dear life. It's Buzz! Even asleep, you had to have your Buzz. I do miss your innocent passion for Buzz. You had to have him wherever you went and every type of buzz had to be yours. Thinking about those days makes me smile. I love you Zachary Chun.
Ahh, one minute left for this upload. I've timed this babble well. Thinking back to that day, I remember how difficult it was because of the bad weather. Looking at these pictures closely, it didn't matter because you got to enjoy something you really liked. I'm smiling wide from your cuteness. The link to this set of photos is:

040326 K-Town Plaza
040416 Marcus' Birthday
040417 Zach's FIRST Disneyland
040418 Ice Cream @ Greenhouse Cafe
040419 Can't take Zach's Buzz
040423 Don't know what FIRST
040426 Zach taking pictures in car
040427 Gimmie the Camera
You really started learning how to take pictures at this early age. It was hard for me to take any of you because every time I tried, you were reaching out for it. I've saved every last picture, no matter how bad it was, just because it showed that you took it. Anyways, enjoy. I hope it's getting warmer out there. I have no idea because your mother won't reply to my emails and hasn't called once. Almost 3 months Zachary Chun. She's a friggin animal like the rest of her damn family. Why is she keeping us apart? I love you and miss you. Bye.

TUE, 090120 @ 11:21PM
Ooops! I posted twice on TUE because I did the previous posting Monday night. See how much I think about you?!? Okay here's the little cheat. I started this blog for you on the 4th of January. I'm going to 'cheat' like three more times so that the number of blogs equals the number of days in 2009. Okay? I think this is blog number 18, but today is the 20th, so 18, 19, 20. Three more ooopsies left. You'll understand this and me better in time. Laters!

Our first trip to the L.A. Zoo!

TUE, 090120 @ 12:38AM
Hiya Zachary Chun. Whew, I've spent many, many hours just putting photos from CD to HDD. I need a break and so does my CPU! There are some options when adding an image to a post. I've used 'center' before, so now lemmie use the next option, left. BRB.
This is a very bad picture, but what do you expect from a noob. At least you came out. Oh, and look, you're pointing to the elephant! There was another option of S, M, or L for the image and this is L. We'll see how this looks once published. I archived two sets of folder to get this pic. The first for December of '03 and the second for January of '04. There wasn't a single picture from the December set I wanted to use. The folders for that set are as follows:
031212, Caught in the Act! - I caught you digging into your mom's purse for goodies and snapped these photos. You have such a "I didn't do anything?!?" look on your face. You weren't looking for anything in particular. Children's curiosity.
031221, CANA Chrismas Party - This is probably the least memorable CANA christmas party ever. We held it at church because no one volunteered their home and sucked big time compared to other years. These pictures all suck too. Blah.
031213, Merry-Go-Round - We were at the Valencia Mall and they had an indoor Merry-Go-Round for the Holidays. Of course we had to give you a ride, this being your first and all. I think I enjoyed it more than you. You look bewildered in these photos.
031217 Christmas Presentation - This was your first Antioch presentation. You weren't even two yet and expected to perform. I ought to find every last stupid teacher and give them a scolding for putting that much pressure on you. All the pictures suck. Blah.
031217, Christmas Skits, Second Performance - I don't know why these photos are different from the folder above. They suck and these suck too.
New Year's @ Song's - This is a very special set because you took most of the pictures. I think this is your FIRST folder of photos. Nothing special but the person behind the lens....you Zachary Chun! You were one at the time. A one year old taking pictures. Wow. My boy.
040103, LA Zoo - This was your very FIRST trip to the LA Zoo. I can't believe we didn't take more pictures. My bad. There's the one decent picture above but the photographer is a noob. Talks big, but can't snap a shot for nothing. Blah, blah, blah.
040111, Took some pictures with Dad, then took camera - This was just you and me chilling at home doing nothing. As you can tell from the series of pictures, you're very interested in the camera and want to take it so that you can take your own photos. I took a good one of us so I added that to the slide show. I can only post one photo per posting, so whatever else pictures I deem worthy enough for you to admire, I'll just add them to the slide show like before. Hmm, should I just post per photo? Naw. Number of posting equals number of days I've been blogging to you Zachary Chun. Oh wait. BRB. Okay. I starte this on the 4th of January and today is the 20th. 16 post = number of day's I've been posting. Okay, good. I'll save the best pictures for individual posts and add the rest of the memorable photos into your slide show. Whew, upload finally finished. Lemmie go up and paste the link above. BRB. Back. You probably haven't noticed, but the line spacing is different on this post. When you add an image, the return command doesn't go to the next line. It actually adds a line for some reason. Oh wells.
040122, FIRST time eating kimchee, self-shots - This was a picture I took of you eating Kimchee for the very first time. Maybe a video clip would have been better. I only caught the back of your head while drinking some water. You did however, recover fairly well and decided to grab the camera to become the professional you aim to be. Yae! I'm uploading the second set I just got through talking about, but it is going to take another hour, so I'll paste the link for you tomorrow.
Hang in there buddy. This is all new to me so I'm learning as I'm blogging along. My goal is for you to know how much I care for you and your sister. I wouldn't have such a detailed archive with many of our activities if I am the man your mom says that I am. She is a liar. I love you guys both and this is proof. You can see it in our faces. Anyways, have a good day tomorrow and I'll TTY then! BYE!

MY FAVORITE PICTURE!!!

MON, 090119 @ 7:58PM
Hey there Zachary Chun. I was organizing my photos and finally came across my favorite picture in the whole wide world. As you already know, I love to take pictures very much. I love it so much that I started teaching you at an early age. You were 3 and a half when you took this photo. Let me try to put it here...
Ooops, I can only paste it in the top center. I cropped the picture because I don't want to see you know who, ruff. Can you see yourself taking the picture in the reflection? I only saw you about two years after you took that picture. HOW WONDERFUL! You don't know how much I was yelling in joyful delight when I realized what had happened. Look at yourself. You're even holding the camera right. It's so special. I love it, love it. That's right, you're my son. Good job, Zachary Chun. This is my favorite picture in the whole wide world because it shows you in action at an early age. All the other pictures of you back then are poses and smiles. None of them tell me of your natural talent to capture the moment. Good job. Muah! I'll need more time to sort through my 30 or so DVD's with thousands and thousands of pictures. I just had to share this one with you. Good job. TTYL!
MON, 090119 @ 8:16PM

MON, 090119 @ 8:19PM
It occurred to me how much more meaningful it is to post pictures along with the body of the post. I can refer to them as I talk about them. I'll stop adding good pictures to the slideshow and paste them directly to the postings. Came back just to tell you that. CYA!

The Thread Errand

SUN, 090118 @ 3:19PM
Hello Zachary Ryan. Hope all is well with you. Every time you kiss your sister, Rachel Lauren Chun, kiss her again for me, will you? I miss you guys both very much. I started categorizing your First Birthday photos but gave it up because it was affecting me a bit too much. So, I've decided to start with one of my stories, one of many that I can share with you. I lived in Korea until 1978. I have a select few memories from then and there but the contrast to the life here was so great that it has helped me retain them. Where shall I begin? I think my earliest memory comes from one of my Tae Kwon Do lessons. I started when I was three and I won some sort of notebook from some sort of tournament there. I still have it because I won it, but moreso because your grandfather, my father, used it to teach himself English. It's stored deep within my few remaining boxes of treasures and I would like for you to see it someday. I never advanced more than blue belt because of my accident. That in itself is one of my great stories because of the intensity and severity of the occasion, so I will dedicate a few days worth of postings in the near future to share that with you. As a child in Korea, we, meaning your grandparents and your aunt and myself, lived impoverished. There's some sort of ridiculous law which forbids citizens from working once intentions of immigrating are declared. We were very poor. My mother worked as a seamstress at the time, sewing and making dresses of sorts for the locals. I believe I was three at the time when this incident occurred. I was busy playing around with the neighborhood riff raft but my mother interrupted me and called me over. She needed some thread from the nearby store, so she was directing me to run an errand. She wrote the order onto a sheet of paper, wrapped that around some money, and secured it into my front pocket. I nodded persistantly to ensure her of my confidence to get the job done. I knew exactly where I had to go so I knew I could get the job done right. I wave my goodbyes to her and off I went. I hadn't walked a block, when all of a studden I hear a "psst" coming from a dark alley. I look over, point at myself, and some dude nods and waves me over to him. The first thing he said was, "Hey, you have a sister, right?". "Yeah, how did you know?". "I know her. Can you give her this note?". He opens up a trash lid and rips out a piece of paper. Then he writes something on it. "This is a secret so give it to her when you see her". I more than obliged being the kind hearted friendly chap that I was. He shoves the folded up note into my pants and reminds me of how important it is that I get this note to her. I smile and continued on my errand. I think it took about half an hour for me to finally reach my destination. When I get there, I look into my pocket for the order and money, but can't find it?!? Instead, I pull out a dirty old piece of newspaper with nothing on it. Oh no! The dirty, rotten scoundrel stole from me! I cried all the way back home not because I lost the money, but because I failed to do as my mother asked. The lesson I want you to learn from this tragic incident is this. People lose things every day. Whether by mistake, or intentionally from thieves or natural disasters. Shit happens. If that which is lost can be replaced, don't worry about it. Money is made and lost every day by every one. Lose a hundred dollars today, make two hundred tomorrow. The only things valuable to me are those things that cannot be replaced. Photos for instance, are more valuable to me than anything else. If I lose them in a fire or something, no amount of money on earth can replace my loss. Don't dwell on your loss, but think for a minute what it would take to replace your loss and move along. Rethink and redefine value because there is a huge difference in what most people think are treasures and what really is a treasure. To me, a chest full of old pictures is much more valuable than a chest full of gold. Think about this, it's really important that you understand this early in your life. Well, that's my rambling for today. Until next time, son. Muah!

November 2003 was a very busy month!

SAT, 090117 @ 2:15PM
Good afternoon, Zachary Chun. I hope your week has passed as well as mine has. I wish we were corresponding via email so that we could have some privacy. There's a lot I want to share with you, but just among the two of us. I had this thought last night. Do you ever see a daddy doggy, a mommy doggy, and a whole bunch of puppies hanging around and walking about? No, because they are animals. Only animals give birth to their young and go about their business like nothings happened. I hope this blog proves to you that whatever your mother has told you about me are all lies. I think about you and your sister every day and I am counting the days until we are together again. She will never admit to you that she stole you guys away from me and ran off to Korea, just like her mother, the queen bitch, did. But you know what? I am not the animal that Katherine's father is so I can't just abandon you guys and pretend like nothing has happened. Only animals do that. The longer your mother keeps you guys away from me, the more of this you will hear. She is an animal herself because she thinks it's okay to keep you guys away from me, your father. The bright side to this attrocity is that once you guys are old enough to think for yourselves what is right and wrong, you will hate that animal for keeping me away from you guys. Believe in my love for you as I am believing in yours. BRB, I'm going to save this txt file first onto my external USB HDD to post with my other HDD.
Back. Since I didn't link any photos yesterday, lemmie go do that now. BRB.
Whew! November of 2003 was a very busy month indeed. I zipped all of the folders for the month, but because I had so many videos, I had to split them up. Hmm, should I post the first half now, and the latter half tomorrow? Oh, alright. Here are the slide show additions:
PICT0336 - This is my favorite shot of you being my little helper. All you did was watch me scrape up some of the old carpet glue. Next thing I know, you have the scraper in your hands and are doing like I was doing. You looked over your shoulder for the shot and said "Oooh, you like that?" J/K you didn't say that, but I see you saying it.
PICT0350 - I took this shot of you at the Valencia IHOP. I like it because it reminds me of how much you use to love food. You were always so willing to try anything. No matter what it was, you'd open wide to try it out. Classic.
PICT0379 - This isn't a good picture, but it is a FIRST. Your very first visit to Chucky Cheese! I think you ran over Chucky's friend or something so you're looking over the hood of the car you're driving. There are five photos in this folder along with five video clips.
Hmm, this set is only 84MB and the 2nd half is a 132MB. It takes about an hour to upload, so I don't think I'll be able to wait for the second half link. So sorry, but I'll post it manana. There's still 25 minutes left for the first set....
Oh yeah, the folder names. They are:
031101 Clonka donk donk
031101, After helping Dad with flooring
031103, More help with flooring
031108, Breakfast @ IHOP with Song's
031111, FIRST time @ Chuck E. Cheese with Dad
18 minutes left. BRB again, I'm going to go clean the patio.
7 minutes left. I didn't go, I was tidying up my Picasa profile. Now I'll go. BRB
1 minute left. Man oh man. It takes so much longer to upload than it is to download. I'm guessing that if I babble long enough, we should be ready soon. What do you think, Zachary Chun? I'm going to type Zachary Chun over and over again until you're google #1. Hey, what a great t-shirt? "I'm #1 on Google". You can get one made and wear it because it's true! Ok, BRB. Yae!

I'm going to go through this set and watch all of the videos. I'll point out some of the good ones on my next posting. Until then, goodbye Zachary Chun!

Hello again Zachary Chun. You can't really tell from my previous statement, "oh, alright" whether I was going to post part 2 of November today or tomorrow. When I said it, I meant to post both parts, but it was taking too long, so I was going to split em up into two days. However, I was reminded that I have much work to do in terms of your first birthday, or dohr. That's going to consume at least 3 hours, and I won't have that sort of time except on Sundays. So, I have decided to press on to post the rest of November 2003. Here goes!
First Candy ZRC brought to me to buy for him - This picture was so special, I renamed it. If I remember correctly, we were at a gas station together. You saw this candy and brought it over to me with your puppy eyes. I was so happy, I didn't care about anything else but to buy you that candy. We came home and you enjoyed every lick. I had you stick your index finer up so that you and I both will know that this was your very first candy purchase. Oh how precious.
PICT0405 - It was some lady's birthday and you got a big piece of cake. I love taking pictures of you, so I managed to snap this perfect photo of you enjoying cake. You are so naturally content and satisfied in the picture. I love it.
PICT0542 - We went over to your aunt's house after church and you were very busy playing with cousin Thomas and cousin Alec. I added this photo to your slide show because you came out young and innocent. They ask about you and your sister often because they miss you guys very much.
PICT0429 - This is one of the first pictures of the three of you guys with grandma. You guys didn't come out too good, but because it was one of the first, I had to add it.
The folder names for this set are:
031113, FIRST candy asked Dad to buy
031116, FPCT Nursery, SMN's B-Day & a day @ the Rhim's
031117, Helping Dad assemble a toy
031127, A day with the Rhim's
031130, Playing air hockey
Again, there are a bunch of video clips in this set as well. BRB, I need the link.

Tah-dah! Wow, that was a lot for just a month, don't you think? Over 200 MB's for just a month. You probably don't remember the month at all. Hopefully these photos and videos will help you learn how serious you are about playing and how much you love to eat. Tomorrow, I promise to go through your entire Dohr (First Birthday) album and post like crazy. Hope you enjoyed this post! Oh, just for the record, I met Anya today. We'll talk about her later. Bye for now!

Winner, winner. Chicken dinner!

FRI, 090116 @ 11:18PM
Hello Zachary Chun! I just realized I haven't posted anything today. 42 minutes left. Whew! I was coming back to my room from cleaning the patio and my mom was looking around for me. She was shaking a book around titled "European Phrase Book". I was wondering what that was all about as I opened it to the bookmarker. It was a chapter that read "Russian". Thomas gave it to my mom for me to look at. I yelled out loud because he remembered and understood adult conversation. Your aunt and her family met me and our parents for dinner at Coco's for my birthday. Towards the end, I mentioned to my sister about this Russian lady who responded to my posting on InternationalCupid.com. I don't even remember her name, but I still can't get over how beautiful she is. Ask me for her picture sometime, I'm sure to have it. Thomas remembered my jokes about the whole deal and obliged me by sharing his phrase book with me. He's so funny. I decided as I told them that I was going to respond to this Russian lady. Now that I've told you about it, I'm going to do it just to have something interesting to talk about with you. I'll keep you in the loop. Your aunt and uncle bought me a swell dinner and we all had a good time. Your aunt was telling me about her dreams and told me that I was going to have a good year because she had a good dream about me last night. Nothing burned, there were no pigs, and no one consumed any poop, so I don't know what it was that told her about my future this year. That reminds me. She didn't bring a cake so I couldn't wish for anything before blowing out the candles. So...I'm closing my eyes...There. I wished for something very specific and very important. I'm sure it'll come true Zachary Chun because you are my son and you'll google yourself just like I would because we're both nerds like that. Either you or your sister, Rachel Lauren Chun. I told my sister about this blog, but I don't think she has the time to check it out. Your uncle probably won't either. Regardless, in case I'm wrong, hi nu-na! Oh, and hi hyung! Now I have this extra pressure to be more entertaining for their sake. The more the merrier, I say. "Oh, come all ye faithful. Joy...joy..." That's all I can remember. AnyDVD is at 34%, so I'm gonna have to babble samoa. I use the word 'Samoa', that which is from the country Samoa, to slang out 'some more'. Oh, you want samoa? I'll give you samoa. Your cousin Thomas gave me this excellent card. On the cover, a big headed dude with a blue hat is yelling 'Smile!' and inside, it reads 'Somebody loves you!' This is what he himself wrote, verbatim. 'Dear unkle Jason, Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoyed your Birthday. From your nephew, Thomas Rhim. I love you!' He signed it too. I told him I would keep it forever and ever because I love it so much. It'll have to be scanned ASAP to be properly archived. Damn, I'm at 42% and it is 11:41. Oh man, am I going to make it? Oh, the stress. NVM, even if it doesn't finish, I'm going to stop at 11:50 to publish this post. 44% at 11:42. Is it percentage per minute? Oh the stress is killing me. I'll have to babble samoa. I've always wanted to be a waiter at a Samoan restaurant so I can say over and over, Samoa Samoa? Samoa? Here's a joke I've been saving to tell you for a long time. Why is six afraid of seven? Because seven ate nine. Samoa? Knock, knock? Who's there? Joe. Joe who? Joe ma ma. An ex-friend of mine, Hee Uk Shin, told my class that joke on his first day of school in the 4th grade. We didn't speak good English then, so we all laughed our asses off and fell in love with the clown. 52% at 11:47. Nope, doesn't look like it's going to make it, so I'll save here, change HDD, and restart soz I can post this before the strike of midnight. CYA!

Happy Birthday to me...

TH, 090115 @ 9:09PM
Hi Zachary Chun. In case you forgot...it's my birthday! I'm 38 today. Your aunt is buying me dinner tomorrow night at CoCo's. Your grandparents, me, Alec and Thomas, along with your aunt and uncle are all going to be there. Just before I blow out my candles, I'm going to close my eyes, and wish I was with you and your sister. That would be the bestest gift I could ask for. It's so wrong that I can't be with you guys. Damn that Bae blood or whatever their friggin names are. They probably forgot themselves, them damn animals. Ruff. I am working hard to make things right here so that I can fight to be with you guys again. Those damn animals promised me I would know where you guys are and be able to talk with you guys on a regular basis. This is what I get for trusting two-faced animals. Never take you eyes off a crazed mad dog, Zachary Chun. The minute you do, they'll bite because that's what animals do. I count the days until we can be together again. I just hope that you guys are okay. Friggin animals. Wild, two-faced animals. All of them. Ciao.

Daddy's Little Helper.

WED, 090114 @ 9:12PM
Hi Zachary Chun. You're still the top search result when you type out ZRC, but if you only do a search for 'Zachary Chun', you are somewhere in the middle of page two. In order to improve this, I will write Zachary Chun every time I say Zachary Chun so that Zachary Chun will be the very top result when you google Zachary Chun. For today's set of photos, I got the sense that you were starting to become, "Daddy's Little Helper", hence the title of this posting. Here are the slide show additions:
PICT0106 - A picture with dad. That looks like your very first zit, Zach. It's not official, but it's close. Your first zit. He he he.
PICT0249 - I re-piped the Santa Clarita home way back in 2004. Any time I was working on something at the house, you had to get up and get involved. I loved it every time you came over no matter what because you showed me how curious you were and how much you wanted to learn. You were becoming "Daddy's Little Helper" many years sooner that I expected.
PICT0262 - A great photo with grandma. She loved putting you on her back because you loved being there. Look how happy you look in that pic.
PICT0318 - Again, the little helper in action. This time, I redid the floors and you had to help. I was using the compressor to blow out any dirt or debris. Every time I used it, the pressure would decrease, so it automatically turned on to refill. I guess you liked the loud noise because your reaction to the strange contraption was, "hmm, this thing is making a lot of noise so I'm going to have to climb it and smile for dad to snap a pic."
There were many videos in this set as well.
PICT0079 - First time blowing a whistle. I smiled the whole way through watching this clip. You are at that stage where everything was interesting and fun. I'm still smiling. Great short clip.
PICT0314 - OMG, I caught you on video climbing the air compressor! What a fantastic clip! Wow, it just occurred to me that I have about 20 2 hour mini tapes. Photos aren't nearly as exciting as video at this phase in your life because it doesn't show your purity and innocence. Why did you put your head down?!? That's so funny to me. It was then, and it still is now. I was only able to see this from the video clip. The folder names for this set are as follows:
031001, Outside with shoe in hand
031003, FIRST time blowing a whistle
031004, Pics with dad
031011, Helping Dad with plumbing
031023, Asleep with BGDJPPE, Helping Dad with screws
031024, With Mom and BGDJPPE
031025, CANA kids at T&M Choe's
031026, Pics with Grandma KS
031028, Helping Dad with flooring
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4XZ8UF8Z
This set is special to me because almost every folder had a picture of you helping me with something. I loved that about you. I hope to someday build on that bond by doing stuff like that together. Sharing thoughts and ideas without words. There was another picture from the file set 'Helping Dad with plumbing', but you only had a broom in those pics so I didn't include any of those pictures to the slide show. A broom onl1?!? You probably helped me with soldering. Well Zachary Chun? What do you think so far? Are you enjoying this format and pace? It's very important to me that you do because I treasure these pictures and memories. No one can take any of this away from us, no matter how evil they are. Epic fail on them. Tsk, tsk. Go pray fool! Do you know what tomorrow is?

If you google, 'Zachary Ryan Chun', search results 1, 2, and 3 are all this BLOG! Yae! If you google 'Zachary Chun', you are search result 6, on page one. So it does work, Zachary Chun. Using the words of the search, such as Zachary Chun, will get higher results, even when the webpage is a blog. Good to know. So, Zachary Chun, until you are the number one result on Google, I'm going to have to spam Zachary Chun, Zachary Chun, Zachary Chun!

The Excitement is too much for me to contain

TUE, 090113 @ 3:34AM
Good Morning son. I just watched a good British film, entitled Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont. I was moved by its purity and its lack of crass which as been so dominant in American movies. A Brit can smell a rose and smile as she takes in the aroma. The American does the same, but a horrible bee will buzz out in anger from the rose and attack the admirer. Me being American, I expected the latter, but the absence of something terrible or evil forced me to rethink the sometimes unnecessary twists of events that shock and awe. It was a well written movie that showed the beauty of the human spirit at many levels. Watch it someday when you're older and wiser. For now, stick to Ben-10 and Bakugan. You being the top result of a google search has made me shift gears in more ways than one. First is the timing of everything. When will you find me? How old will you be? How long should everything be? A secondary objective of mine is to entertain. I want these words to shake you and intrigue you on so many levels that you won't be able to put it down. I want you to want in the greatest sense. I would like for you to read and re-read my words and hear me speaking to you directly. You'll come across works of certain authors that will grab you from the opening words all the way to the very end. Your desire, and nothing more, will keep your attention at full salute. Mesmerizing words that will leave you breathless and amazed. Look at me. I'm trying to somehow class myself alongside the works of some of the greatest literary minds of our time. I just want this to be interesting enough for you to want to read every last word. I don't even want to ask you to make sure you read every last word. These words and stories will naturally and forcefully compel you to ingest every aspect of this blog. That's one of the desires. Another is that I want you to keep this a secret between you, Rachel, and myself. If your mother is aware of this blog, I know she will stop at nothing to sever our secret bond. She's evil like that. Though not like the devil because the devil knows he is evil and openly displays himself as the devil and makes clear his position on issues. Your mother, on the other hand, hides behind the bible as she does her evil deeds, and disguises herself as a devout believer. She, her mother, their entire family, and especially John are all like this. Oh, he's the worst because he lacks the intelligence to know that he lacks the intelligence. He's almost too hard to hate because he's so stupid. More sympathy than anything else. I'll end with this thought. The desire and need to entertain is very important to me. I will somehow compile my stories to run like the chapters in a long, juicy novel. We'll see how things progress. Anyways, I just felt like posting this blabber because we've entered a new phase or chapter in our tale. Be patient with my progression and expect as much as you think my heart desires to produce. Until next time, goodnight.

TUE, 090113 @ 10:42AM
Hey Zachary Ryan Chun. I just googled you again and you are officially 1 and 2 of 300,000. Good shit, eh? Remember I told you that my friend Kevin shares your birthday? I forgot to tell you that he told me who else was born on your birthday. Elvis and David Bowie! Elvis Prestley is the King of Rock and Roll and David Bowie is, uh, hmm. He's just a singer with some okay songs. Elvis is huge! Some people swear he's still alive and dress like him at conventions and do all kinds of crazy things. Just thought you should know that. We'll add to this list as we go. I just wanted to share that with you because I forgot but it's too important for me not to share with you. Have a nice day, son!

Let the Photos Begin!

MON, 090112 @ 1:31AM
Hi Zach! As promised, I started uploading blocks of albums for your viewing pleasure. I'm going to zip and encrypt groups of folders according to their relevance. Today's grouping only has one picture of you. It's the one of you on the ladder. I was working in the garage one day and when I turned around, you were practically at the very top! At first I was shocked, but when I realized what you did, I was amazed. So much so that I ran for the camera and snapped this awesome picture of you. I can't remember what it was you're pointing down to. It's a favorite of mine, so I added it to the slide show. That's what I'll do from here on out. Whenever I come across a picture I like, I'll add it to my Picasa album so that it'll show up on your slide show. The two other folders are titled:
020101 Mommy's Tummy
020108 Pre-Birth
Feel free to ask about any photo if you like. I'll try to keep up as best as I can and post links to other groups of folders. I know you'll like these photos as much as I do. We'll go through them together some day, but until then, enjoy. I haven't even touched these photos of you because I was too sad to go through any of them, but now that I need to do it for you, I can deal with my sadness. Anyways, enjoy! Again, you'll have to make contact with me for the passwords. Find me Zachary Ryan Chun!
MON, 090112 @ 1:46AM

MON, 090112 @ 7:23PM
Hello Zach! This posting is different from the others in that I had to go through a bunch of pictures before I started writing. From this set, I added:
DSCN3905 - Me holding you on my birthday.
DSC00136 - Our first Dodger game.
to your slide show. I turned 31 a week after you were born and as you can tell from my face, I'm as happy as I could be. I was never happier and I don't think I'll ever be as happy as when I held you in my arms right after you were born. There were some other good pictures from this set that I like, but didn't add them to the slide show.
DSC00130 - Zach trying to stand. Tippy toed and posing for the camera.
JTC S105 - Smiling because you were almost walking.
JTC Sc16 - Me pushing you in your very first car.
DSC00147 - Bathroom fun. You loved that doorstop and just kept batting it and batting it.
The rest of the folders from this set are:
020109, The FIRST Day
020110, The Second Day
020115, Zach as I turned 31
020827, trying to stand
020908, FIRST Dodger Game
021101, FIRST Car, with Grandma Esther
021125, Bathroom fun

For some reason, there's like a six month gap. I'm sure I took pictures and I have them somewhere. Be patient, I'll post them as soon as I find them. Now that I think about it, I shouldn't have posted your birthday video earlier. It's chronologically wrong, but oh wells. Don't forget, you have to contact me for the password for these sets. I'm using the same password for all the encryption's. My purpose in writing this blog is simple. You and your sister mean everything to me and your mother's evil has taken you guys away from me. I want you to know how important you guys are to me and I'm trying to show you the truth. Your mother is lying to you and I am doing everything I can to be in your lives. I hope to convince you both of the truth by me doing this. Anyways, enjoy this set and I will talk with you tomorrow. Have a nice day, son!
MON, 090112 @ 7:54PM

MON, 090112 @ 10:50PM
Hello, hello little fellow. I was preparing for tomorrow's posting by organizing another set, but it occurred to me that I need to save the names of photos somewhere, so...here I am again! I just realized that the zipped encryption's don't save folders?!? I'm guessing I have to encrypt individual folders and put them all into a grouped set. BRB...Ta dah! I have my photos of you according to date followed by a description. This set consists of the folders:
030109, Second Day as TWO
030117, Camera in Car, poor photos IGIA4 CD
030908, FIRST FPCT Picnic, eating watermelons
030926, FIRST pics with Minolta, Mom & Grandma
030927, Song's Church Concert
030928, A Day with the Rhim's
From these sets, I added the following to your slide show. They are:
JTC Sca6 - You're sitting on me as I lay on a couch under a blanket. I can't tell who's happier, you or me. Regardless, it is a good picture.
IMG27 - This is classic Zachary Ryan Chun. You loved taking pictures when you were younger just as much I liked taking them. I love how you genuinely smile in pure joy.
PICT0013 - This was just a shot in the car. Again, classic Zach. Happy, happy, happy!
PICT0042 - We were at some stupid church concert with a bunch of fake, lying, two-faced, sons of bitches. You and I sneaked off into the kids room and played, played, played. There was this huge stuffed puppy. For some reason, you wanted it and I capture this shot.
PICT0062 - We went over to your aunts house and you cried for some reason. When you stopped, you hugged your cousin Thomas and I took this wonderful shot. This is so exciting for me. I haven't gone through these photos in years, so I don't remember what's in 'em. Thanks for letting me see em again, Zachary Ryan Chun. I remembered why there's this gap. Your dohr! I have tons of pictures from your first birthday elsewhere. There are dozens of great pictures from it, so expect it next! Anyways, it's getting late and I have to be up early tomorrow to renew my driver's license. We'll meet again manana!

MON, 090112 @ 11:49PM
Yup, tis true. zacharyryanchun.blogspot.com is the first result on google when searching for "Zachary Ryan Chun". I did it Zach. No, we did it. You helped me to get this far and I am extatic. 'Years later' turned into 'maybe next year'. I'm that much more excited. I wish I knew exactly what it was that I did. Do you think it's because I'm speaking to you Zachary Ryan Chun? I mean, do you think it's cuz I say Zachary Ryan Chun over and over again every time I say Zachary Ryan Chun? I didn't see this blog in the first 15 pages of google search results. That means, it was at least 150 different hits. Then all of a sudden, BAM! You are on top! Find me son, FIND ME! WHEEEEE!!!!!
